Makes Presentation
After the closing of the Mizpah lodge on Monday evening last the members of the I.O.O.F. present held a pleasant social time in honour of Bro. George Graham, who is leaving with the 61st battery.
After refreshments had been fully done justice to Chief District Deputy Bro. Skinner, on behalf of the Mizpah Lodge No. 72, read an address of esteem and appreciation to Bro. Graham after which he presented him with a handsome military wrist watch suitably engraved along with the address. The recipient responded with a few well chosen words.
Viaduct No. 53 and Lethbridge No. 2 lodges were well represented at the gathering. Interesting and timely speeches were made by Bro. P. G. M. Farley, Bro. P. G. Major Burnett, Bro. P. G. Brodie and Bro. P. G. Dr. Thompson. Bros. Jarvis and Carter rendered solos, and a pleasant evening was brought to a close by encircling Bro. Graham and singing Auld Lang Syne and He's a Jolly Good Fellow, and wishing him a safe and speedy return.
