One Sight Enough
     Speaking at a recruiting meeting in the City last week, Private Cockburn, a returned soldier from the front said:

     "If you men could only see the suffering in Northern France, if you could see the young children mutilated in such a way as to turn a strong man sick, if you could talk to an old woman who was forced to hold a candle for the Germans to shoot her only son on her own doorstep, if you could talk to the old parish priest who was forced to fill up his church with straw and then set it alight, if you could only see all these things then, I say you would be the first to don the khaki and fight to have these poor people avenged."
