Our Boys Heard From
Mr. Louis Pilkington, of the Speaker office, had a letter from his brother Alfred in which it was stated that he, with the other Temiskaming volunteers, was leaving Quebec on Saturday last. These soldiers were given their choice of joining a Quebec regiment, or the Hamilton Highlanders. They thought it would be better to go with those with whom they could converse more easily, so that they have to don the kilts. Next week they will probably be marching through France to assist the army under Gen. French. May they all come back to us safe and sound after doing their part bravely in helping to defeat the Germans and Austrians.
