Englehart

The war is the one thing you hear in the street. Seven of our boys have gone to the front. C. Kennedy, N. Williams, D. Quinn, J. Frisk, J. Brookes, J. Ludgate and H. S. Horseman.

A farewell gathering was arranged for Monday evening at the Agricultural hall when the town Council and acting Mayor Skinner and a large crowd of citizens, accompanied by the band, showed their appreciation of the volunteers movement by speeches and songs. A banquet was then held at the King Edward hotel, where the King, the Empire, the Army and Navy and the Allies were toasted.
