Dear Jimmie,
I suppose you think I have forgotten all about your letter well I haven't. I rec'd it about a month ago and was very very glad to hear from you also that Mr. and Mrs Robinson remembered me at the New Year please remember me to them and thank them for their good wishes.
I am writing this at 2 o'clock in the morning in my dug out so you see we don't pay much attention to time in this country.
We are having real Canadian weather here now about 6 inches of snow and cold, but it is better than the mud which was about two feet deep before it froze up.
Jimmie I thank again for writing me and hope you still go to Sunday School You want to thank God war isn't in our country and I hope to be with you next Christmas. Your friend McDougall
I have been unable to locate this man's family or his record's as I do not know where he lived before or after the war. I have the letter in the original envelope but without the stamp.
