Considering those who first enlisted have been over three years in service, the government is giving a three months furlough to those of them who wish to revisit Canada. They will be sent in detachments in rotation, for it would not do to deplete the force at the front too largely. The first detachment reached Montréal on Monday. Under this rule a few will be enabled to return to Huntingdon for a breathing spell.
