Service Biography
Raoul Montpetit was born at Saint-Étienne-de-Beauharnois, Quebec, on 5 August 1895 and worked as a farmer. Drafted under the Military Service Act, he joined the 2nd Depot Battalion, 2nd Quebec Regiment at Montreal in August 1918. His service was entirely in Canada. He was struck off strength as a deserter in September 1918, later returned to military control and served a period of detention. Montpetit was discharged at Montreal on 24 September 1919 for misconduct.
