Service Biography

Ferdinand Sauve was born at St-Timothee, Quebec, on 28 March 1897. A single Roman Catholic farmer, he was drafted under the Military Service Act and entered Canadian Expeditionary Force service at Montreal on 20 August 1918 as Private 3165813 with the 2nd Depot Battalion, 2nd Quebec Regiment. He served in Canada and was struck off strength at Montreal on 24 January 1919 on demobilization.

Ferdinand Sauve was a single Roman Catholic farmer from St-Timothee, Quebec. His father Louis Sauve was next of kin. He reported no previous military or naval service. The Medical History Sheet records height 5 ft 2 in, weight 130 lb, chest 31–34 in, good physical development and Category A2.
