Service Biography

Abraham Simond was born at St. Regis, Quebec, on 15 January 1886. A Roman Catholic laborer, he enlisted at Mattawa, Ontario, on 9 December 1915 as Private 789107 with B Company, 130th Overseas Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force. He married Margaret Simond on 1 March 1916. Simond served in Canada and was discharged at Barriefield Camp on 23 June 1916 after being recorded as a deserter.
