Service Biography

Earl Douglas Stalker was born at Port Lewis, Quebec, on 19 March 1897. A single Presbyterian electrician living at Valleyfield, Quebec, he was drafted under the Military Service Act and joined at Montreal on 16 August 1918. He served in Canada as Private 3091194 with the 1st Depot Battalion, 1st Quebec Regiment, and later as a Sapper with the Engineers Training Depot at St. Johns, Quebec. He was discharged at Montreal and struck off strength on return to the Registrar's Records effective 12 September 1918.

Notes

At calling up he was 5 ft 6 in tall and weighed 134 lb. His chest measured 34 in minimum and 36 in maximum, with 2 in expansion. He had a medium complexion, hazel eyes and brown hair, and the Medical History Sheet records good physical development. One vaccination mark was recorded on the left arm.
