Service Biography

Daniel Riel was born at Huntingdon, Quebec, on 1 October 1895. A farmer, he was drafted under the Military Service Act and joined at Montreal on 15 July 1918 as Private 3167078. He was transferred to the Canadian Engineers and then to the D.O.C. at Montreal. His discharge documents record him as a deserter on 21 November 1918.
