Service Biography

Antoine Roy was born at St-Ernest, Canada, on 24 February 1897. A single Roman Catholic farmer living at Cazaville, Quebec, he was drafted under the Military Service Act and served in Canada as Private 3172004 with the 2nd Depot Battalion, 2nd Quebec Regiment, Canadian Expeditionary Force. He signed his recruit declaration at Montreal on 9 July 1918, and his service reckoned from 16 August 1918. Roy was discharged at Montreal on 30 August 1918 as medically unfit.
