Service Biography

Theodule Lemieux was born at Saint-Antoine-Abbé, Quebec, on 22 November 1897. A single farmer living at Saint-Chrysostome, Quebec, he was drafted under the Military Service Act and attested at Montreal on 17 July 1918 as Private 3167475. He reported for active service on 23 August 1918 and served in Canada with the 2nd Depot Battalion, 2nd Quebec Regiment. He was discharged at Montreal on 1 February 1919 on demobilization under the farmer's-leave procedure.

Medical examination at Peel Street Barracks, Montreal, on 23 August 1918 recorded age 21 years 8 months, height 5 ft 3 in, weight 113 lb, chest 32-36 in, medium complexion, brown eyes, black hair, poor physical development, Category A2. 'Warts left hand' is recorded as a slight defect not sufficient to cause rejection.
