Service Biography

Norman Dent of Valleyfield, Quebec, enlisted in the Canadian Army Special Force at Montreal on 25 September 1950. He served with the Royal 22e Régiment in Canada, the Far East during the Korean War, and later in continental Europe. He qualified as a parachutist in March 1953 and received the Canadian Parachute Badge. His recorded decorations included the Korea Medal and United Nations Service Medal. Dent was honourably released on 3 April 1957.

A 1956 personnel selection report describes prior civilian employment in Valleyfield and recommends transfer to RCOC as a potential storeman-clerk.
