Service Biography

Leslie Calvin James Perkins of Huntingdon, Quebec, enlisted in the Canadian Army Active Force at Montreal on 15 July 1941 after a short period of Reserve Force service. He served overseas in the United Kingdom, the Mediterranean and Italy, and later in Northwest Europe. His wartime service included the 5th Canadian Armoured Division and, by the end of the war, the 6th Duke of Connaught's Royal Canadian Hussars. He was appointed Lance Corporal effective 1 April 1945 and was discharged at Montreal on demobilization on 21 February 1946.
