Clarence Augustin Roy was born at East Bathurst, New Brunswick, on 5 December 1911. A labourer, he enlisted in the Canadian Active Service Force at Bathurst on 4 June 1941 and served as a Private with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps. Roy served in Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe, including service with No. 2/9 Canadian Infantry Brigade Company, RCASC. He returned to Canada in May 1946 and was discharged on demobilization at Fredericton, New Brunswick, on 19 June 1946. Roy died at Valleyfield, Quebec, on 26 August 1985.
