War diaries for Buxton indicate that a Nursing Sister named M. E. Smith was serving there. Further research is required to confirm if this is the same person as reported on this database entry.
There is an entry in the November 1916 war diary: "Nov. 21st. Nursing Sisters Smith, M.E. reported for duty to the C.A.M.C. Training School, and is struck off the strength of this Unit on proceeding to Canada on Transport Duty."
