Notes

At recruitment Yelle was a single Roman Catholic farmer. His father, Jean Baptiste Yelle of Saint-Isidore, Laprairie County, Quebec, was next of kin. He reported no Active Militia or previous military/naval service. The recruit and Medical History forms agree that he was 5 ft 7 in tall with a maximum chest measurement of 44 in and 3 in expansion; the Medical History Sheet gives weight 213 lb and a minimum chest measurement of 41 in. His complexion, eyes and hair were all recorded as brown, and his physical development was rated good.

Additional Service Notes

Honore Yelle was drafted under the Military Service Act and entered service at Montreal in July 1918 as Private 3166700 with the 2nd Depot Battalion, 2nd Quebec Regiment. His service remained in Canada. The casualty form records him struck off strength on return to the Registrar's Records in August 1918. Proceedings on Discharge record Montreal as the place of discharge and demobilization as the reason.
