Service Biography

Joseph Rose was born at Ste. Philomene, Quebec, on 20 March 1897, the son of Delphis Rose. A farmer, he was drafted under the Military Service Act at Montreal on 6 July 1918 as Private 3085954 and was taken on strength with the 1st Depot Battalion, 1st Quebec Regiment, Canadian Expeditionary Force. After reporting on 8 July, he was placed on leave of absence without pay, where he remained until demobilization. Rose was discharged at Montreal on 19 February 1919.

1919-02-19 — Executed release and was struck off strength on demobilization under Part II Order No. 53.
