Service Biography

Henri Taillefer was born on 12 December 1889 at Ste-Martine, Beauharnois County, Quebec. A single Roman Catholic cigar maker living in Montreal, he was drafted under the Military Service Act and reported for service at Montreal on 16 September 1918. He served in Canada as a private with the 2nd Depot Battalion, 2nd Quebec Regiment, Canadian Expeditionary Force. He was discharged at Montreal on 7 December 1918 on demobilization as Category B2.
