Service Biography

Leopold Tessier was born on 12 May 1896 at St-Jean-Chrysostome, Quebec. A single Roman Catholic farmer living at St-Louis-de-Gonzague, Quebec, he was drafted under the Military Service Act and reported at Montreal on 27 August 1918 as Private 3172685 with the 2nd Depot Battalion, 2nd Quebec Regiment. He served in Canada and was discharged at Montreal on 26 September 1918 after being struck off strength on return to the Registrar's Records.
