Service Biography
Arthur Prudhomme was born at St. Philomene, Quebec, on 28 March 1887. A single Roman Catholic butcher, he enlisted at Melville, Saskatchewan, in January 1915 as Private 424207. After service with the 45th and 9th Reserve Battalions, he proceeded to France and joined the 5th Canadian Infantry Battalion in July 1915. He later served in England, returned to Canada in May 1919, and was discharged on demobilization at Montreal on 17 May 1919.

At enlistment he was 27 years 10 months old, 5 ft 9 in tall, with a fully expanded chest measurement of 39 in and 3 in expansion. He had a fair complexion, grey eyes and sandy hair, and a scar on the right elbow. His discharge examination in 1919 recorded weight 150 lb, height 5 ft 9 in, blue eyes, light hair and the same right-elbow scar.

Enlisted at Melville, Saskatchewan, in January 1915 and served as Private 424207. He transferred from the 45th Battalion to the 9th Reserve Battalion in June 1915 and proceeded to France to join the 5th Canadian Infantry Battalion in July 1915. He later served through reserve/depot organizations in England, returned to Canada in May 1919, and was discharged on demobilization at Montreal on 17 May 1919.
