Service Biography

Ephrem Rose was born at Sainte-Philomène, Quebec, on 18 June 1895. A farmer and Roman Catholic, he was drafted under the Military Service Act. After completing his recruit declaration at Montreal in July 1918, he joined the Canadian Expeditionary Force on 16 August 1918 as Private 3172001 with the 2nd Depot Battalion, 2nd Quebec Regiment. He served in Canada and was discharged on 13 March 1919 on demobilization.

His recruit declaration was completed at Montreal on 7 July 1918, and he was medically examined on 16 August 1918 and joined on enlistment that same day as Private 3172001 with the 2nd Depot Battalion, 2nd Quebec Regiment, Canadian Expeditionary Force. His service remained in Canada. He was struck off strength on 13 March 1919 on demobilization.
