Service Biography

Ernest Paquette was born at Beauharnois, Quebec, on 10 April 1893. A labourer, he was drafted under the Military Service Act and enlisted at Montreal on 4 April 1918 as Private 3157682. He reported for service in September and served in Canada with the 2nd Depot Battalion, 2nd Quebec Regiment, and the 4th Battalion, Canadian Garrison Regiment. Paquette was discharged at Montreal on 2 December 1918 following demobilization of the Canadian Expeditionary Force.

At recruitment Ernest Paquette was a single Roman Catholic labourer from Beauharnois, Quebec. He was 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighed 130 pounds, had a maximum chest measurement of 36 inches with 4 inches expansion, fair complexion, blue eyes and fair hair. His discharge certificate assessed his character and conduct as good and gave his address on discharge as 19b Sanguinet Street, Montreal, Quebec.
