He reported for service in September and served in Canada with the 2nd Depot Battalion, 2nd Quebec Regiment, and the 4th Battalion, Canadian Garrison Regiment. Paquette was discharged at Montreal on 2 December 1918 following demobilization of the Canadian Expeditionary Force.
