Service Biography

Henri Pleau was born at Beauharnois, Quebec, on 3 November 1892. A labourer living in Montreal, he was called up under the Military Service Act in 1918 and joined the Canadian Expeditionary Force on 15 July 1918. He served in England as a Private, including service with the 10th and 23rd Canadian Reserve Battalions. He returned to Canada in June 1919 and was discharged at Montreal on 7 July 1919 on demobilization.

Drafted under the Military Service Act, Henri Pleau joined the Canadian Expeditionary Force at Montreal on 15 July 1918 as a Private with the 2nd Depot Battalion, 2nd Quebec Regiment. He proceeded overseas in July 1918, disembarked in England on 15 August, served with the 10th and 23rd Canadian Reserve Battalions, and did not serve in France. He was struck off strength for return to Canada in June 1919, embarked at Liverpool aboard S.S. Baltic, and was discharged at Montreal on 7 July 1919 on demobilization.
