Frederick Monarque was born at Beauharnois, Quebec, on 19 December 1893 and worked as a traveller. Drafted under the Military Service Act, he entered service at Montreal in September 1918 as Private 3173022. He served with the 259th Battalion, Canadian Rifles, in the Canadian Siberian Expeditionary Force, sailing from Vancouver in December 1918 and arriving in Siberia in January 1919. He returned to Canada in 1919 and was discharged at Montreal on 12 June 1919 as part of demobilization.

Notes
At enlistment he was a traveller, Roman Catholic, single, 5 ft. 6½ in. tall, 136 lb., with a 34 in. chest expanding to 36 in., dark complexion, blue eyes and dark-brown hair. The medical examination on leaving service recorded good general health and no disability. A Department of Veterans Affairs death notification records his death on 6 May 1971 at Ste. Anne's Hospital.

Drafted under the Military Service Act in Montreal in September 1918, Frederick Monarque served as a Private. He was taken on strength of the 259th Battalion, Canadian Rifles, for the Canadian Siberian Expeditionary Force and sailed from Vancouver aboard S.S. Teesta in December 1918, arriving in Siberia in January 1919. He embarked from Siberia aboard S.S. Empress of Russia on 19 May 1919 and returned to Canada for demobilization. He was discharged at Montreal on 12 June 1919.
