He embarked from Canada on 10 August 1918 and arrived in England on 25 August. He was taken on strength of the 10th Canadian Reserve Battalion on 30 August 1918, struck off strength on transfer on 22 September, and taken on strength of the 23rd Canadian Reserve Battalion on 23 September 1918. He remained in England until struck off strength to Canada on 26 June 1919 and embarked at Liverpool aboard S.S. Baltic.
