Father Joseph Lefebvre, Valleyfield, Quebec, was next of kin, executor and sole general beneficiary under Albert's will dated 15 July 1918.

Research Notes

Military Service Act Class One draftee. Service reckons from 15 July 1918; the medical history sheet was completed 29 July 1918 and records Category C1, 5 ft 3 in, 122 lb, chest 31-33 in, medium complexion, brown eyes and hair, and good physical development. His will, dated 15 July 1918, appointed his father Joseph Lefebvre executor and left him Albert's property. The casualty form has a report date of 30 September 1918 and records S.O.S. as deserter under D.O. 16, with an administrative date of 20 October; the index and last pay certificate independently establish 21 October 1918 as the effective S.O.S./discharge date. The last pay certificate records 21 days forfeited and 61 days overdrawn, but those accounting entries should not be used to manufacture an undocumented absence-start date.
