Service Biography

Valerien Robineau was born at Valleyfield, Quebec, on 28 October 1893. A boiler maker, he entered service under the Military Service Act on 13 May 1918 as Private 3160501. He served overseas in England and France and was posted to the 14th Battalion in October 1918. In December he was treated by No. 11 Canadian Field Ambulance for blistered feet and returned to duty two days later. He returned to England in March 1919 and to Canada in April, and was discharged at Montreal on 21 April 1919 on demobilization.

Drafted under the Military Service Act, Valerien Robineau entered service on 13 May 1918 as Private 3160501 with the 2nd Depot Battalion, 2nd Quebec Regiment. He arrived in England on 15 August 1918. He was posted from the 10th Battalion to the 14th Battalion effective 26 October 1918, arrived at the Canadian Base Depot in France on 27 October, arrived at the 14th Battalion in the field on 28 October, and joined the unit on 9 November. He was admitted to No. 11 Canadian Field Ambulance on 13 December with blistered feet and returned to duty on 15 December. He proceeded to England on 13 March 1919 and was taken on strength of D Wing, Canadian Corps Camp, Bramshott on 15 March. He was struck off strength to Canada on 10 April 1919 and was formally discharged at Montreal on 21 April 1919 on demobilization.
