Service Biography

Donat Legros was born at Valleyfield, Quebec, on 5 March 1883. A married carter, he had previously served with the 63rd Regiment before attesting at Valleyfield on 17 April 1916 as Private 661014 with the 163rd Overseas Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force. His service remained in Canada. A medical-board examination on 10 May recorded defective vision, and he was discharged at Montreal on 11 May 1916 as medically unfit for further service.
