Service Biography

Alderic Marleau was born at Valleyfield, Quebec, on 30 June 1875 according to his signed attestation paper. A labourer and Roman Catholic, he attested at Valleyfield on 16 March 1916 as Private 660733 with the 163rd Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force. He sailed overseas late in 1916 and served in England and France with reserve, labour and infantry works units, including the 4th Canadian Infantry Works Company. He returned to Canada after the war and was discharged at Montreal on 20 March 1919 on demobilization.
