Service Biography

Private Arthur Lalonde was born on 10 July 1892 at Valleyfield, Beauharnois County, Quebec. A sailor by occupation, he was drafted under the Military Service Act, 1917, and joined the 2nd Depot Battalion, 2nd Quebec Regiment at Montreal on 15 July 1918. He served in Canada and was discharged at Montreal on 12 March 1919 during demobilization. His mother, Sophrania Lalonde of St. Laurent Street, Valleyfield, was listed as his next of kin.
